Day 08 – A picture of your most treasured item
I, again, had a hard time thinking of one treasured item. For the most part, I do not have certain items that I keep around me. I have some things my maternal grandmother gave me, but ultimately it is not the item that sparks deep feelings of love/nostalgia, it’s the memory itself. That’s why my most treasured items are old pictures, cards, and bits and pieces of my life. Old home videos, photo albums. I love it all.
To almost everyone this looks like a normal case. I got it during Christmas time around my middle school years (12-13 years old), when everyone gave each other bath products because we didn’t know each other on a deep level. Shortly after receiving this, I started using the case to tuck away photographs and other little things.
Eventually it started piling up. I have items in here from early 2001 and new items from 2010.
Here are a few of the contents: a letter from my 6th grade teacher that I adored, my senior prom picture, memorial card from a funeral, a drawing that a family member did.
Every time I go through it I find things that I had forgotten about. Like this picture, which was from my sister’s birthday party.

I also kept little tidbits from the past in a box but you keep yours in somewhere much cuter. The childhood photo of you is so adorable! You should show us your prom photo too!
