This week’s theme for Five Take is “casual OOTD”, and I found it kind of difficult because I consider most of my outfits casual. Since I want Five Take to be a little different than my typical OOTD posts, I decided to show you what casual meant for me when it comes to how I dress when I’m hanging out at home, watching tv, and doing homework.

For me, true “casual” outfits are not fussy at all. That means no restricting clothing, no accessories that I will have to keep in place. I default a lot to jersey dresses I have sitting around, but today I was wearing leggings and a top. Boring? Yes. But this is me being super casual.

Of course if I’m wearing my comfy clothes for around the house then that means Lola is going to be at my side at all times. I think comfy clothes = cuddling, ball playing, and the occasional treat for her.

Hopefully the other Five Take ladies did something much more interesting than me! Check them out here:

Is there a difference between your “casual” outfit when you go out and your “casual” outfit when you stay at home?

Do you think about being “fashionable” for your outfits that you wear around the house?

  1. Love that rich colour on you! Comfort is one of my number one concerns when choosing outfits- and this outfit looks lovely and comfy. You make me want to curl up on the couch with a good book. 🙂

  2. That color looks awesome one you! I also love the boat neck style of that top, very cute!

At home casual for me is a pair of yoga shorts or leggings and a tank top… I’m the queen of comfort when it comes to that, lol. My errand running casual outfit is my fave jeans paired with a tank top and cardigan and some ballet flats. 🙂

  3. This outfit is soooo cute on you. I love the color for you. Your hair looks cute. Me, I wear an old tee shirt, nothing as cute as you have on. Nonbinding clothing is the key. Elastic waisted bottoms and maybe off with the bra. For just being at home of course. I love the computer generated picture of you. They did a good job.

  4. I love that top! I agree that casual outfits=no fussy accessories and no restricting clothing. I’m not big on accessories. I like seeing them on other people but for me, they just sit in my jewelry box.

  5. There is definitely a difference for me when it comes to being casual at home and casual when going out. At home, I am almost always in some form of pjs. When I’m going out and trying to truly be casual, it will usually mean jeans and a siimple top – either a silk screen t-shirt or a dolman sleeve blouse.

  6. That’s pretty much my casual around the house attire too! In fact, i’m currently wearing a pink tee and jeggings 😛 Lola looks so cute in the first photo, it’s like she’s saying “Muuum, pay me attention, look, i’m sitting like a good girl”.

  7. I feel like the majority of my outfits are casual as well. Although, I don’t normally take pictures of my “hang around the house” look, which is normally a pair of jeans and a novelty t shirt. (I have a Firefly themed one on today.) I think its nice to show on one’s blog though, adds depth and reality, I mean I wear dresses to the grocery store (which of course gets funny looks) but when I take my dog for a walk, its completely casual all the way.

  8. I’m madly in love with this casual outfit… where did you the top & leggings? This is my kinda casual… love it!!!
